Privacy policy
What this app stores
- Shop domain and OAuth tokens needed to read and update your Shopify catalog.
- Product, collection, blog, and article data synced from your store for SEO auditing and fixes.
- Audit scores, issue lists, and edit history generated inside the app.
- Site scan results: the SEO facts extracted from your public storefront pages (not the pages themselves), kept for 30 days.
- Your current Shopify plan and billing period, so plan limits can be applied.
- Files you upload for CSV import, and the result of each import.
- Error-monitoring records about app errors for your shop.
AI drafts
When you click "Draft with AI" on a product, collection, or article, that item's text (its title, descriptions, tags, and similar catalog fields) is sent to the TPG AI service, which is backed by Google Gemini, to write a suggestion. Nothing is sent unless you click the button. We do not send customer or order data. Suggestions are labelled AI-generated and are only applied if you review them and save.
Site scan
When you start a Site scan, the app fetches your own public storefront pages (products, collections, pages, blog
posts, robots.txt, and sitemap.xml) from your store's domain, the same way a search engine
would. For each page we store only the SEO facts we extract, such as the title, meta description, headings, canonical
URL, structured data types, and image alt counts. We do not store page bodies. Scans start only when you press the
Start button and never on a schedule, and they follow your robots.txt. Storefront pages are public and we
do not intend to collect personal data from them. Scan results are kept for 30 days and are then deleted, and they are
deleted with the rest of your shop's data when your store's data is erased (shop/redact). More about the
crawler: SEOfinity site scan crawler.
What we do not store
- Shopify customer names, emails, or order history. The app does not read your customers' personal data.
- Payment card or bank details. Billing is handled by Shopify and charged to your Shopify invoice.
- Full page content from your storefront. Site scan keeps extracted SEO fields only.
How data is used
Data is used only to audit catalog SEO quality, show issues, and write approved fixes back to Shopify. We do not sell merchant data.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept while the app remains installed on your store. When you uninstall, API access is revoked immediately.
Shopify may send a shop/redact request after uninstall; we then delete your shop's synced catalog data and audit history.
Site scan results are deleted after 30 days even while the app stays installed, and with the rest of your data on shop/redact.
